Anguilla was represented at the Leeward Islands Junior Track and
field meet which was held in Tortola over the weekend by six promising athletes.
These young promising athletes were accompanied by Ms. Myrna Supersad, Nashane
Johnson and Alexis Ryan.

Presently in Bydgoszcz Poland is Mr. Denvil “Skywalker” Ruan who will be
preparing to participate in the 100m dash at the World Junior Championships. The
youngster, who has been impressive this year, is looking forward to improving
his personal times and establishing himself as a major player in the sprint
game. In reaching to this magnificent event, the young Skywalker would like to
express his gratitude to his coach, Mrs. Wilma Proctor, Mr. Rollins Richardson,
Alexis Ryan, Mr. Trevor “Ras Bucket” Davis and his training partner Mr. Arthur
Ward and his parents.
Later this month South Eastern Conference (SEC) and NCAA champion, University of
Florida long and triple jump champion Shara Proctor and Lindenwood University
Javelin champion Samek Connor will be heading to Columbia to test their skills
against athletes from the Caribbean and Central American region in the CAC
senior games to be held in Columbia. Accompanying these two champions will be
accompanied by Mrs. Wilma Proctor. The athletics association is thankful for the
support the general public has given to the sport and looks forward to it in the
future.
